The festival is celibration by the tye of a rakhi, or Rakhi thread by the sister on the wrist of her brother. The brother and sister traditionally feed each other Rakhi foods and sweets. It is still same way long time . any festival is incomplete without good food.

Preparation Time : 1 hours
Serves : 4 People
Ingredients :
Flour - 200 gms
Khoya - 300 gms
Almonds
chopped - 100 gms
Cooking Oil
Water
Sugar - 200 gms
Khoya Burfi
Ingredients
Milk 1 Lt
sugar - 50 grams
coconut powder - 50 grams
pistachios, chopped -20 grams
almonds, chopped -20 grams

Method:
Boil milk reduce heat and let it simmer for 50-minutes to one hour till thick paste like. Keep stirring in between. Add sugar and coconut powder and stir till sugar dissolces. Grease a thali and pour the batter. Garnish with pistachios and almonds. Let it cool and cut into square or rhomboid pieces.

Preparation Time : 60 minutes

Ingredients :
Plain flour- 2 cups
Solidified Ghee -1/2 cup
Ice cubes - 2 pieces
Water - 2 cups
Milk – 1 cup
Yellow food color - ¼ tsp
Ghee - 1 kg
Kewra essence(vetivier) - 5-6 drops
Powdered cardamom -1 tsp
Chopped almonds & pistachios -1 tbsp
Milk in which ½ tsp saffron has been rubbed
For syrup :
Sugar - 1 ½ cups
Water -1 cup
